This is a Vintage Double-arm brass student lamp with frosted hurricane shades. Double-arm lamps, often referred to as "student lamps" or "parlor lamps" became popular in the late 19th to 20th centuries. These lamps were designed to provide ample light for reading and other close work with the double arms allowing for two light sources. Many were originally designed for oil or gas and were later converted to electricity as it became more widely available and safer.
