This is a Three-piece gilt-bronze girandole set with crystal prisms. Girandoles, a type of ornate candelabrum, became popular in the 18th century and reached their zenith of popularity during the 19th century, particularly in the Victorian era. They were often made of gilded bronze, ormolu, or silver and adorned with cut glass or crystal prisms to enhance the reflection and refraction of candlelight, creating a dazzling effect. These decorative pieces served not only as functional lighting but decorative elements in wealthy households.
